That’s what we’re hoping all of this rain as of late will bring to us!
Anyway, welcome back to another installment by your Olympic College library faculty & staff.
Question: Did you know that May celebrates two very important cultural groups? This month, we celebrate Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month and Jewish American Heritage Month! If you haven’t already, please take a moment to view the aforementioned links to read very interesting tidbits of history from each dynamic group of Americans.
Also, in celebration of these two milestones, this month’s “book feature” showcases just a few of the books that we have on the history of Asian/Pacific and Jewish Americans. Please take the time to browse through the four books below. Whether you’re looking for information on the history of Jewish Americans from the 1600s onward, the history of Asian/Pacific Americans as described through the lenses of an Asian American scholar, the German-Jewish immigration time table, to a text on Asian/Pacific American history aimed at everyone; we’ve got you covered!
Don’t hesitate to stop by the reference desk if you’re looking for further information. That’s what we’re here for!
Summer’s getting closer; hang in there students and faculty! ![]()
