As the library turns

Hello Everyone!

Your friendly librarians are back again with more helpful information. If you haven’t noticed already, please take the time to check out our new animated Meez character. We figured it would be a fun feature to have in order to demonstrate things in a more visual way. :-) Plus, it gives you yet another reason to keep coming back to check us out (what’ll we have our Meez do next; you have to come back to find out)!

First up, we wanted to take the time to give you a brief notice about our upcoming closure on President’s Day: Monday, February 19th. Please note that the library will be closed on that day and plan accordingly! Thanks for your cooperation! :-) We’ll open up with normal business hours (7:30am - 9pm) on Tuesday, February 20th.

Second item up for discussion is a recent comment/suggestion we received in our suggestion box for the library regarding usage of our study rooms in the basement of the library. Please be advised that sign-ups for the study rooms are on a first come, first served basis. If you know that you have a group project coming up, note that you may come in near closing time on Sunday afternoon to sign up/reserve a room for the following week. We want to make every effort to accommodate our students, faculty, and community; but, planning ahead will definitely help to alleviate the problem of not having a private room to study in when your group comes to the library.

Lastly, please be advised that eating in the library is prohibited. We are currently battling a rodent problem, so unless you don’t mind the thought of having a mouse nibbling on something while you type up your assignment (this happened to an employee within the library recently), please hold off on eating in the library!!! We appreciate your efforts to keep this library rodent-free! :-D

Happy Valentine’s Day!
